AimPoint® Green Reading
Golf lessons in Hanoi with Vietnam's only AimPoint Authorized Instructor.
What is AimPoint®?
AimPoint is a feel-based green reading system developed by PGA instructor Mark Sweeney. Rather than guessing which way a putt breaks by looking at it, AimPoint teaches you to feel the slope percentage through your feet — and then use a simple, repeatable process to determine the correct start line for any putt.
The AimPoint Express method — the version taught by Linh — is used by dozens of Tour professionals worldwide and is now recognised as one of the most reliable green-reading systems available. It removes guesswork entirely and replaces it with a structured, learnable skill.
As one of very few AimPoint Authorized Instructors in Vietnam, Linh Vu brings this internationally recognised system to golfers in Hanoi and across the region. Whether you're an absolute beginner or a scratch player looking to sharpen your edge, AimPoint certification gives you a repeatable process that works on every course, in every condition, worldwide.

Who takes AimPoint lessons?
The frustrated putter
You hit the ball well but three-putt regularly. Your reads feel like guesswork and your confidence on the greens is low. AimPoint replaces that uncertainty with a system you can trust.
The competitive player
You play tournaments and understand that putting is where tournaments are won and lost. You want a Tour-level system, not intuition. AimPoint gives you an edge over every golfer who's still guessing.
The previous AimPoint student
You've done AimPoint before but feel your calibration has drifted, or you learned it quickly in a group and want a proper 1:1 deep dive. Linh offers refinement sessions for returning students.
What to expect
AimPoint is taught in a structured progression — fundamentals first, then calibration, then on-course application.
Fundamentals — Feeling Slope
You learn how to stand and feel slope percentages through your feet. This is the foundation of the system — it sounds simple, but the precision of calibration is everything. Linh guides you through exercises until it becomes natural.
Calibration on the Practice Green
Working on a range of putts — short, medium, and long — you calibrate your feel against actual slope measurements. Linh verifies your reads and corrects any miscalibration before it becomes a habit.
On-Course Application
The real test. Linh accompanies you on-course for a playing lesson where you apply AimPoint on real greens with real break and real pressure. You learn to integrate the system into your routine quickly and efficiently under playing conditions.
Certification & Ongoing Support
Participants receive written notes on their calibration and personal AimPoint reference. Linh offers follow-up sessions to refine as you play more courses and encounter new green conditions.

Common questions from golfers before their first AimPoint lesson in Hanoi.
Most golfers can read greens using AimPoint Express after a single half-day clinic. The fundamentals — foot calibration, slope feel, and chart usage — are designed to be learnable in one session.
Refinement takes a few rounds on the course to ingrain the routine. Golfers who practise the calibration drills between sessions typically see consistent results within 2–3 weeks of their first clinic.
AimPoint Express uses a finger system to find the aim point on the green — you read the slope with your feet, then use a specific number of fingers as a physical reference for your aim point. It is highly portable and used widely on Tour.
AimPoint Touch is the original method, which uses a chart and numeric slope values to calculate precise break. It requires slightly more practice to internalise but gives extremely precise readings on complex greens.
Both methods are taught at Pure Performance Coaching Center. Most golfers start with Express; Touch is introduced in follow-up sessions for those who want greater precision.
Yes — AimPoint was designed to be accessible to golfers of all levels. High-handicap players often see the largest improvement because they go from pure guesswork to a reliable system in one session.
The foot-feel calibration requires no prior knowledge or equipment. If you can feel the slope under your feet, you can learn AimPoint. Linh regularly teaches AimPoint in group clinics that include beginners alongside single-figure players.
AimPoint has been adopted by hundreds of PGA Tour and LPGA Tour players. Notable users have included Adam Scott, Stacy Lewis, Ernie Els, and Henrik Stenson, among many others who have used the system during major championships.
The system was developed by Mark Sweeney, a former PGA Tour caddie, specifically because Tour players needed a more reliable method than conventional visual reads. Linh brings the same Tour-proven methodology to golfers at every level in Hanoi.
AimPoint Authorized Instructors are rare in Vietnam. Linh Vu at Pure Performance Coaching Center in Hanoi is one of very few certified to teach the full AimPoint system — both Express and Touch — in the country.
Golfers from outside Hanoi, including Ho Chi Minh City residents and visitors to Vietnam, have travelled to attend AimPoint clinics with Linh. Remote video analysis sessions are also available as a follow-up for golfers who cannot return in person.
